Brownie Invasion!
Lakeham Alpacas hosts a visit by local Brownie pack

One of our local Brownie pack leaders thought it would be a good idea for her girls to learn about camelids in Devon. After a chat, a trip was arranged and last week 21 Brownies with slightly harassed Helpers duly arrived to get up close and personal with some of our herd (not forgetting Dusty our llama). We also held a quiz, all the answers to which concerned alpacas, where from, why and how they fitted into UK farming.
The overall view after an entertaining hour of general mayhem was that alpacas (and llamas) were a "cool" addition to the UK scene and the level of knowledge of them by the troop was much enhanced. A great time for all concerned!
