Breeding again -at last

2 years of movement restrictions caused by FMD and Bluetongue have caused havoc in our breeding programme. We are - at last - on the way!

Lakeham Alpacas has, from inception, followed a policy of herd improvement through the use of top quality studs. We have used many from Classical-MileEnd Alpacas and are, this year using Saturn from Alpha Alpacas (fawn) and Albert (dark brown) from Collabear, both noted prize winners to extend our range of coloured animals.

The problem, for us, as many others has been the movement restrictions of animals which has frustrated our recent plans.  However, we are - hopefully - clear of this and can now restart the programme
